Labo & Biotech Forum

Hotels Maurice Hurand present the Labo & Biotech Forum, which is held each year at the beginning of June at the Parc des Expositions at the Porte de Versailles in Paris.

Since 1994, the Labo & Biotech Forum has been the event for the Laboratory Profession in France and is designed for the 80,000 researchers and technicians working in public and private research, monitoring and analysis laboratories.
The market is assessed at approximately 1.3 billion euros in the industry, agribusiness, environment, life sciences and teaching sectors, among others.

The Laboratory market
The Laboratory market is still quite splintered, but the three main business segments (EPST-Public Science and Technology Research Centres, Pharmacy and Chemistry) account for more than 50% of business in the profession.
Certain segments are displaying a strong medium-term dynamic, mainly Biotechnologies, Private Monitoring Laboratories and the Environment Sector.
The main growth levers in this industry, however, still lie in Public Research and the Agribusiness field.
In France, more than 172,000 public and private researchers make up the Laboratory market. European position: compared with the other EEC countries, the French market benefits from the size of its public sector (EPST, EPIC) and less powerful but dynamic segments such as agribusiness, cosmetics and monitoring laboratories.
