Some thirty exhibition sites can be found along this contemporary art itinerary based on a single theme.

Original creations are exhibited for 3 weeks at luxury boutiques in the neighbourhood (L.V.M.H., Christian Lacroix, Sonia Rykiel, Paule Ka, Agnès B., Longchamp, Zadig & Voltaire, etc.) and at sites comprising the landscape of Saint Germain des Prés, its square, the Deux Magots Café, Café de Flore, Place Furstenberg, etc. Since the year 2000, this artistic event has renewed with a long tradition that makes Saint Germain des Prés a symbol of Parisian cultural life.

For the 2008 edition, the “once upon a time” theme is inspired by the folk tales and legends that make up a universal, eternal cultural backdrop whose characters and themes are found in many traditional and modern forms of expression. The idea is to bring to light the influence that the theme of tales has on human imagination and its aesthetic, cultural and universal values, giving carte blanche to artists and writers to regenerate this imaginary world or to become actors in their own tales.

Near all of these leading design and fashion venues, you will find Hotel Madison across from Saint Germain des Prés Church. The design of the Artus Hotel is in keeping with your itinerary. Hotel de Buci, on the same street, is a delight for aficionados of the 1930s club chair. Hotel Bourgogne & Montana, near the Esplanade des Invalides, will be a restful stop after a day of walking around the quarter.
