As everyone knows, Valentine’s Day, 14 February, is the lovers’ holiday. Couples take advantage of it to exchange love letters and gifts as tokens of their love, as well as sending red roses, a symbol of passion.
But one question comes up for all lovebirds who want to celebrate their love: where should we go out in Paris?
What are the most romantic places in the capital? Where can I proclaim my love to my beloved?
Some places are obvious: the Eiffel Tower, Montmartre and its Place des Abbesses, the Banks of the Seine... It’s like being in a postcard! Other places in the city are also good for a lovers’ rendezvous, such as the Place des Vosges, the Notre Dame quarter, île Saint Louis, or Canal Saint Martin and its locks.
But why not stop on the Pont des Arts footbridge (also called “Pont des Amoureux” or “Lovers’ Bridge”) for a passionate kiss? The Musée de la Vie Romantique (Museum of Romantic Life, on rue Chaptal in the 9th arrondissement) could also be a change from the obvious places...
